Superhero Insurance

Calculate property liability in comic book cities.

📜 The Origins

Living in a city with costumed heroes is a logistical nightmare. This tool calculates your property premiums based on local 'Hero Exposure' and collateral damage risks.

Select your jurisdiction (like Gotham or Metropolis) and your primary hero exposure. We'll generate a liability quote including 'Heat-Vision' fire coverage.

The Cost of Justice

Living in Metropolis is great—until Zod throws a bus through your apartment. Standard Homeowner's Insurance (HO-3) covers fire and wind. It does not cover "Acts of Alien Warlords" or "Speedster Sonic Booms."

The Risk Zones

  • Metropolis: High risk of structural collapse (Superman fights). Low street crime.
  • Gotham: Extreme risk of vandalism, chemical fear-gas contamination, and theft. But Superman rarely knocks down buildings there.
  • New York (Marvel): The highest premium. You have Avengers Tower (Alien magnet), Spider-Man (webbing residue removal), and Doctor Strange (reality warping).

The "Good Samaritan" Clause

Most policies have an exclusion for damage caused by "Registered Heroes" in the act of saving the world. You have to sue the city or the Justice League's destruct-fund directly. Good luck with that.

Pro Tips

01Gotham rates are skewed by chronic arson incidents.
02Wakanda is the cheapest jurisdiction due to the Vibranium shield.
03Hulk-class events are generally considered 'Acts of Force' and require a rider.
